Presenting my BKK TRIP!!!

1st day Sawadika!
Took thai airways, quite good, got chio air stewardessese, grinz. loved the thai food served onboard (return flight even got white sashimi, yummy!)

while serving us food, the air stewardess is about to ask us whehter we wan chicken or beef in english, but she stopped halfway to look again at me, then look at Jam, then confidently asked: !#$#%^&**..? (chicken or beef in thai words). me and jam found it so amusing LOL.
reached there then not so happy le, COS WE WAITED FOR THE BLOODY TOUR BUS FOR FREAKING 1 HOUR PLUS!!! (the tour bus supposed to send us to the hotel) lesson learnt, never join 'ConXXxxxxxxx' agency!
but we were happy that our hotel is good 'Baiyorke Sky hotel' which is smacked in the middle of the busy platunum street, up to 80 plus levels, and first 5 levels are shops, best of all is we get to eat free breakfast at 73rd floor every morning, darn coolz.

the view out of our hotel room window on 29th floor

aniwaez spent evening at suan lum market, good food and a lot of things to see. hehe. ate the famous phad thai, tom yum and papaya salad for dinner at the open air hawker. don't really like phad thai cos the noodle very hard.

suan lum market hawker centre
there is a stage right in front, with ppl singing at nite

2nd day sight-seeing

woke up bright and cheery at 6.30am cos tour bus for the complimentary half day tour will come and pick us up at 7.30am

went to a temple along chao phraya river to pray pray.

along the river

trying to pose like the sculpture

after that we were brought to a jewelery and honey shop, both is a waste of time.
then around noon, we were to taken to MBK cos the day tour finished le. bought a pair of skinny jeans (500bahts) there, later realised it is a bit too ex, compared to those at platinum mall... tried the new food court, its like 'marche' where u order with a card..prices are steep, but food still ok.

the green curry is SEDAP

after that went to four face buddha to pray pray. along the way we found a very hip and happening fashion area. clothes very 'designer' and nice, but not cheap. we very stingy so never buy aniting there.

late evening we took the mrt (not bad, got mtv to watch some more!) to explore a not very well-known nite market cum shopping centre at victoria monument square. wah, its filled with thai teenagers and things are cheap! too bad we were a little late and shops are closing...

3rd day- SHOP TILL WE DROP
realising we still got quite a lot of armor ($$$) remaining, we decided to go and whack platinum mall, the highly recommended shopping place by all! wow, the fashion there all very trendy and cheap! the catch is must buy 3 or more pieces to get good prices, but not a problem for me. met another sg couple there and we formed a mini 'attack team' in one of the shops which sell very nice dresses, since we bought total of 6 dresses, each dress cost only 170bahtS! ($8 only).same clothes as those selling at HULA in sg which cost ard 40plus. woohoo. the foodcourt upstairs is yummy and CHEAP! i loved the TUNA tomato CREPE, ate 2 days in a row!

one note is that you cannot really try the clothes, some are too small for us, heng we got one more day in thailand to go and change the size, and changing size is allowed, phew..

Proudly presenting my victory items!!!

went back to hotel then jam decided to tailor make one suit. as it is late, we went to the shop below our hotel. the 2 nepalese are very nice and honest (once jam dropped his passport in the fitting room, they ran out to chase us to return it, *impressed*) suit cost ard $150 sg, very nice, good buy!

at nite supposed go chinatown eat cheap seafood, but raining cats and dogs, so had to settle for one seafood restaurent near our hotel. food is good but not cheap, ard 900 bahts (40plus sg) for a crab, pineapple rice and tom yum..

then went to the pub at the top of the hotel to have a drink, very nice night scenery!

last day- home sweet home

morning went to buy thai food stuffs to bring back home to eat. we went to chinatown to get the food stuff, but cannot find, we ask one of the shopkeeper where is the tidbits and stuff? he said: chinatown only sell chinese food stuff and tidbitS!!! aargh, wasted our taxi money, in the end had to go MBK to buy. grinz

went to platinum to change the size for some of the clothes and did some last min shopping, anihow whack.

after that home sweet home!
