“
To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past ... and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America ... with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.

father and dad hk drama
this show is literally a family affair, cos my whole fam, comfort included, will make it a point to watch it tog every nite.haha
i like the words fm the main character Botong and his dad:
'For parents, kids will always be the main leads of their movie
For kids, parents will play a supporting role in their movie'
thought-provoking huh, think that's life. aniwaez, one can only fully understand when they are a parent themselves...

wellwell, really happy to return to my ' bookworm-kish' me, grinz. since young i loved to read, until...bad influence fm 'someone' who hates reading and studying, grinz. and fm then, i always carry a psp instead everyday. so thanks to christina who lent be the 'time traveler book' and also thanks to vv who told me the 'time traveler movie' was great, i actually left home w/o a psp today! hehe
busy with labwork these days. been ard a year since being a labrat, so lab skills a bit 'rusty', grinz. nvm, with time shd be okies...oh one good thing abt lab, i am usually so tired after lab that i don't go for any retail therapy!! can u believe it? too tired to wanna look at clothes! gosh, that is super not me,haha. but having done my daily expenses, i saved up a lot in this way! then again, end of this month i will be spending like never before cos w2t! hehehee, can't wait....;P

always look on the bright side of lifez...
mon blues, luckily whenever sth bad happens, sth good happens after that, which cheers me up. A rainbow forms after every rain...
i simply treasure my weekends now, weekends are a time, i can take a step back, have a breather, and enjoy the goodness of life.
cloudy with meatballs movie is good! i loved it! it is very inspiring, esp for a lab rat like myself, grinz. loved what cloudy dad said: 'when it rains, put on a coat' coolZ!! if you have not watched it, go catch it, it's nice, funny and heart-warming!
sakae citibank 1 for 1 red plate is awesome! simply value-for-$$$. ordered the max 3 red plate and get 3 red plate free. Totemo OISHII!
oh, tried the 'we cheer' wii game. it's quite a bimbotic game, where one learns 'cheerleading moves'. sounds easy rite, but its DAMN HARD! will sure sweat, grinz. it is addicitive too, where i keep wanting to repeat the dance to get the moves rite, hehe
happy times pass so fast, oh well....

beautiful poem
IF by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise
If you can dream, and not make dreams your master
If you can think and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build them up with worn-out tools
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
'Or walk with Kings, nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you.
if all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds worth of distance runm
Yours is the Earth and everyting that's in it,
And, which is more, you will be a Man my son!
Now reading this poem aloud, as always it never fail to cheer me up, i love this poem :)

whee, how fast the weekend passed....
~QY's Jiemei's Gathering~
Met qy and her called-upon jie meis for her wedding prep.
i was hoping to be the receptionist but she had another task for me, to be with her all the time aka her P.A. in short, my job is to ensure that 'she stays pretty all day long', haha, sounds like a tall task for me...
qy's so funny, she is so clueless abt wats happening: being overly concerned with frivolous stuff eg jiemeis' corsages, bouquets, rather than more impt things, such as what is the auspicious hour, the car route that day etcetc.
her 'clueless-ness' really got us laughing away. in the end, it was she ensuring us that everyting will be fine, while each of her jiemeis, myself incl, is fretting away.
~Bugis Time~
went to bugis, ate at the food court, the jspanese curry teppan not bad, quite nice. of cos jam's pepper rice was much nicer, did not see pepper rice if not would have gotten it,grinz
after dinner wanna grab ice cream, then since jam wanna to have donuts for tmwr's breakfast, i suddenly rem that i have j.co voucher (given when i bought hp ink cartriges, hehe). so we tried their $4 yoghurt with 3 toppings. i tink too sour for our liking, but eat liaoz did feel a bit 'healther',haha
~Ikea~
ikea. one word: crowded. the ikea restaurant is packed with ppl. i heard of ppl gg to ikea just to eat, hmm, is the food THAT nice? tried the meatballs, first ball tasted yummy, 2nd ball tasted good, 3rd ball tasted ok, 4th ball onwards tasted so-so, cos it is quite 'jelat', tink 2 ppl must share the meatballs. my fave is still the chicken wings! oishi@@ after lunch went to get our laptop table, finally its in stock!yeah! of cos as always, we end up buying other small little stuff too.
after ikea, dragged our tired selves to jap class, after jap, dragged our even more tired selves home.
how fast the weekend flies!grinz

weird
these days i feel very tired yet when it is late, i cannot get asleep, hmm, insomnia, could this be due to work stress?
watched the mark lee 'fan yan kan shi jie', like this show cos get to see other ctries' culture, esp the recent episodes on europe, really makes me remember the good times i had in germany for my exchange.their different lifestyle, their different life motto: which basically is 'work hard and play hard'. as quoted by the taiwanese who married a dutch in today's episode: they work to live and not live to work. and how their bosses will view them as 'inefficient' if they need to work OT. so so different fm asian countries, where OT is the norm. another different culture is that it's norm for teenagers in europe to move out and their parents actually feel 'proud' that their kids are independent now, whereas here, children lived with their parents as long as they can, some even after marriage...
dunno why i am so grouchy today, oh well, ming tian hui gen hao i hope...

aimless
everyday passes by so quickly and i did not have the time to stop and ask myself, what i want in my life?
i know i can't just let time slip off my hand, i need to do sth, but...but but but, all the butts...
i have to know what i want and stay focused. time wait for no man.
no matter wat, being happy is still what matters most.
Gambatte!

Dinner with Ntu PaLzz
Wow, guess its been one year since we last met up (not counting our convo, as it was super rushed that day)?!? Time passed amazingly fast...still rem those days we rushed after work (fm diff parts of sg) to attend lects, grinz
dinner at de paolo PIZZA (We made a hiccup by gg to 'de paolo' which is also on the same stretch at chip bee garden (HV) but 'de paolo' is like much more high end than 'de paolo pizza'. still can rem the funny aka 'pissed' face on the waitress when we realised the mistake AFTER ordering our ice/warm water...)
de paolo pizza is more crowded as prices are more def friendlier. the chef pizza was YUMMY, with mushroom prawn and mozarrala cheese!!! *drool* the calamari was nice but felt it was a tad too ex at $20. the other pizza we ordered is called rocket vege (Sth like dat) which is ...how shd i say it, 'acquired taste'
started updating each other of our life, our work, etcetc. laughed laughed laughed.
had dessert at nydc at hv. jedi mudster, YUMMY!
now bloated tummy but happy!

Nostalgia
Today worked late, luckily sis sharon able to give me a lift home, thanks sis, muackZ
went to meet her at pgp, walked through the familiar corridors and visited the aircon food court. So much has changed, all the stalls have changed! but strangly, it still feels the same. Nostalgia overwhelms me as I thought of the happy carefree times back then.
ate the 'famous cheese prata' fm pgp and wondered why they name their stall 'famous'. watched 'just for gags'. really hilarous. well, like the way the caucasians react when told they have been played a prank. Most smiled and laughed and gamely posed for the camera. wonder what is the reaction in asia? tink most will blush/look away fm camera and some might even be pissed...
as quoted fm 'desiderata', with all its sham drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. :)

who moved my cheese?
good book, go have a read! :)
'The more important the cheese is to you, the more you want to hold onto it'
' What would you do if you weren't afraid?'
My fave quote, so i bold it!
'Smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old'
tot this is quite funny
'movement in a new direction helps you find new cheese.'
hear similar quotes quite often by higher management everywhere
'when you move beyond your fear, you feel free'
my 2nd fave quote (notice how it links to my fave quote)
'imagining myself enjoying new cheese, even before i find it, leads me to it'
this needs quite some imagination...
'the quicker you let go of the old cheese, the sooner you find new cheese'
this is oh-so-true...
'it is safer to search in the maze than remain in a cheeseless situation'
'old beliefs do not lead you to new cheese'
another oh-so-true quote...
'when you see that you can find and enjoy new cheese, you change course'
'noticing smal changes early helps you adapt to bigger changes that are to come'
other 'smaller quotes':
'cheese has a life and will eventually run out'
''they just moved our cheese. Let's look for the New Cheese''

Found this quite funny :P
Potential Reality
A kid asks his father for help on a writing assignment. "Dad, can you tell me the difference between potential and reality?"
His father looks up thoughtfully and says, "I'll demonstrate. Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Robert Redford for a million dollars. Then go ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Come back and tell me what you've learned."
The kid is puzzled, but asks his mother. "Mom, if someone gave you a million dollars, would you sleep with Robert Redford?""
Don't tell your father, but, yes, I would."
He then goes to his sister's room. "Sis, if someone gave you a million dollars, would you sleep with Brad Pitt?"
She replies, "Omigod! Definitely!"
The kid goes back to his father. "Dad, I think I've figured it out. Potentially, we are sitting on $2 million bucks, but in reality, we're living with two sluts."
